My son made this card for Santa on Christmas Eve...I thought I'd share, because it's pretty funny:

We had a wonderful Christmas...we got to visit the families, and my son was very pleased with all his presents..."Santa" did take his dollar...I told him that he would be sure to give it to some child that needs it...

Party Time!

my kid....can he ever give me a nice smile when I take his picture????LOL!! Today was my son's holiday party, and the kids had a blast! Michael's teacher loved her gift..I made her a star ornament....he proudly told her "my mom made it!" Got him trained well, haha! He has one more day of school tomorrow, and then he will be off for Christmas Vacation!!

New Listing On Ebay-Valentine Preview!

Here's my first Valentine doll...I have moved on from the Christmas dollies! I have been very bad at updating my blog lately! There just does not seem to be enough time!! I still need to finish up getting my Christmas presents...I am never this late!
We have been busy celebrating my son's birthday the past two weekends. His birthday is December 22nd(he will be 8), but we always do his parites in early December, so it doesn't get all crazy around Christmas(like it's not crazy enough!!LOL)We did a party with his friends the first weekend of December, and his family party was this past weekend. Both parties were a lot of fun!
I am excited that I have put some things in my Etsy shop, and I actually had my first Etsy sale last week!!WOOHOO!!
We are hoping to go see a big light display tomorrow night. It is supposed to snow on Saturday, so I don't know if we'll be doing much of anything...maybe build a snowman perhaps???

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I wish mine was a bit better...I was sick in bed in be with strep throat...yuck!! But I am very thankful that I'm better...LOL!

Sunday's Show Pictures

Well, the weekend's done...and my shows are over...I thought I'd share pic's from Sunday's show...I like how I did this table better than on Saturday...



I had lots of fun, and met some very nice people, both customers and other artisans. I do have a surplus of pieces, so some will go to my consignment shop and the other pieces will be going up on ebay or my online galleries...so stay tuned....

New Santa on Ebay

Here is my latest Santa on Ebay...he is a 5 day listing...I wanted him to end before Thanksgiving.



Today is my hubby's birthday. Happy Birthday, Sweetie and many, many more!! Poor guy, his birthday just HAD to be the day before Show Weekend..LOL!!





My shows are this weekend...today I need to just make sure I have everything ready...I'll try to remember to take some pics...

Pepper 1994-2007

I wish my scanner was working...I'd share more pictures of our sweet little girl because this is the only photo I had saved on our new pc(when the old one crashed, we lost all our saved pics)...Today we are sad because our Pepper went to Rainbow Bridge early this morning. Pepper was a Boston Terrier....the favorite breed of my family. She was named Pepper because she was a fiesty, firey little pistol from the beginning. It didn't matter that she never weighed more than 20 pounds....in her mind, she was the biggest and toughest dog around...she once tried to take on a dog three times her size...fortunately neither dog got hurt, because they were separated...the big dog did look a little scared..LOL!

She was very excitable around people...she would not attack anyone, but she sure liked to jump all over you, and she may take a little nip(unintentionally, of course!) When we brought Michael home, we were worried about how she would be with him...but she was so gentle with him! As a toddler, he would curiously poke and prod at her, but she would never bite him. And Pepper sure liked to snack on any scraps Michael would drop while eating..and she did eat a few Crayolas..I would find this out after the fact when she was pooping Neon Green and Burnt Orange.

We found a nice spot to rest her little body...I can see it from my kitchen window...I'm going to plant some tulip and daffodil bulbs around her grave. It will be a comfort to me to be able to look out and be reminded of all the wonderful memories we have.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Pepper...we love you....

My Beeswax Melts!

I'm having so much fun with beeswax! I'm trying to make some different things for my shows coming in November..a good friend of mine, Sarah of Hallowed Hills Primitives, said it is important to have a variety of offerings at your shows. So, that's what I'm doing. My shows are about 3 weeks away! They are November 17th and November 18th...all in one weekend!!:o) Should be interesting!!!LOL

Whimsy Christmas Angel

I just listed this gal on Ebay...I got the inspiration for her from an image on a vintage Christmas card. My wonderful hubby was sweet enough to drill holes in my stick for the feather tree. The paper mache` star was painted and crackled. She's such a sweetie!

The Travelling Sister Box

Look at all this loot!! I belong to the Primitive Gathering Group (search PGKS on ebay or visit our website at www.theprimitivegathering.com) We are doing a Travelling Sister Box. It started with Jackie of TFC Folk Art, who sent Betsy of Foothill Primitives a boxful of goodies. Then Betsy filled up the box and sent it to me. What you are seeing are the wonderful goodies that she has sent me!! There is so much I will be able to use to make my dolls...I actually started a dollie, and I'm using some of the fabric Betsy sent me. Thank you so much, Betsy! Love ya!

Over The Rainbow

The Wizard of Oz is one of my all time Favorite movies. I have been wanting to make a Dorothy doll, but I just never got around to making her. Then, I found this cool gingham at our church bazaar. When I saw it, I knew it would be perfect for Dorothy's dress. So here she is...with Toto too!:o) She is up on Ebay right now.

I have been busy this week. It was Open House at Michael's school tonight. We met his teacher, and she's a real sweetheart! I think Michael will learn a lot this year......I have also been working on my pieces for my November shows. I know I have time, but I would like to be done in advance. That way, if I am ahead of the game, I can make extra pieces to take to the shows.

New Listings!

Well, the new listings are up on Ebay...The rain has stopped for now, but it has been hot and humid today...did not venture out much!
I have been working on my pieces for a show I am doing in November...it may seem early but I want to be prepared. I also may try to find another show to do around the same time. I'm just trying to get caught up on everything...there just does not seem to be enough time in the day!!

Update!!

Well, we got back from the game a bit ago...the rain was gracious enough to wait until they were done playing...my little guy did good...HE SCORED HIS FIRST GOAL!!! WOOHOO!! He's been playing soccer for a few years now, so it seems like he may finally be getting the hang of it..LOL!! His team won 4-3, but more importantly all the kids had FUN!!

Here's my little soccer player...he was not too thrilled to get his pic taken for Mom's blog, haha! Hopefully it will stop raining long enough for him to get his game in this evening...

Where has Summer Gone?????

I just realized that my son will be starting school in less than 2 weeks!! We have been so busy this week with his soccer clinic, and I was helping out this morning with orientation for the kindergarten kids coming to our school this year....and it hit me...Fall is coming! I've been making witches and pumpkins for a while now, so I guess it's time to get ready to move on to Santa's and Snow Folk..HaHaHa!!

The Toy Show

The Star Wars characters were out in droves this morning at the Steel CityCom toy show. It was a yucky and gray day, so it was a good time to go. There were tons of toys-new and vintage, comic books and other goodies. My hubby and son were estatic..I thought it was okay...I would have preferred an antique show, but I have to compromise...LOL! I looked for an old Mystery Date game, but alas, no one had one..We had a nice time, and Michael bought some Star Wars guys with the money he's been saving. We just had to get a picture with a clone trooper!

The Simple Things in Life

It's so nice to be able to have fun for free.....this evening the guys and I hung out on the front porch....we were chatting, I was stuffing(of course!)....as the evening grew darker, my son Michael and I caught some fireflies, while my hubby read his book...yes, we set the fireflies free before we went in:o)...you just can't put a price on times like these because they are priceless...
