We went to the flea market this morning. I saw this gal on a table with a tag marked Baby Doll-Very Old-at least 95 years-$15
Now, I don't know if she is indeed 95 years old..but you can tell she is old..I'm not real sure what her head and limbs are coated with..She does have some major damage, but she is just so sweet I couldn't resist..I got her for all the $$ in my wallet..$12...not too shabby, huh?;o)
She does have eyes that close when you lay her down. The guy selling her said that the old lady(who is 99)is in a nursing home, and I guess relatives were cleaning out her home..and they were going to THROW her out..the guy said no way, because she was obviously special to the old lady if she held onto her all these years..I told him I'd give her a good home...Now Michael has a baby sister..LOL

What a great find and so very cheap. In rough condition, but so very neat.
I think the roughness adds to her character.
