I feel very blessed to be able to create. Ever since I was small, I always liked to draw and make things. I grew up in an old house in a small town in Western Pennsylvania-I think this is why I have a love of all things old. Our home's previous owners left an attic full of old fashioned clothing for my sister and me to play dress-up.
I did not persue my love of creating for a long time. I used to work in retail management, which was a great career until I decided I wanted more than just working long hours. My husband and I were married seven years when we were blessed with the birth of our son in 1999. I made the choice that I wanted to be home more. My wonderful Gram had passed away the summer of 1999, and my mom gave me Gram's old sewing machine. I started to experiment with the sewing machine-making simple items at first. It has been 7 years now: my son is in first grade, and I have been so fortunate to be able to create my dolls and other pieces, and just work outside the home part-time. I one day wish to be able to create full-time. I hope as time goes on I will be able to do this:)! I truly appreciate anyone who has purchased one (or more!) of my pieces! I am honored that you want to have one of my works in your home!
I have met many wonderful people over the years-true kindred spirits. I am proud to be a member of The Primitive Gathering-we have our website at www.theprimitivegathering.com. I also am proud to be an artist on www.rantingraven.com. I also am a member of Halloween Year Round: the website: www.halloweenyearround.com.
You can also find works on my website: www.picturetrail.com/piecakeprim. My ebay user ID is: piecakeprim
