Farewell to Third Grade

Here's Michael from his Third Grade Promotion Day yesterday. In the fall, he'll be at the new state-of-the art middle school. My baby's not a baby anymore..:o(

Tomorrow is the last day of school, so all week Michael has been bringing stuff home. Today he brought home some very cool pieces that he did in Art Class. I believe they were displayed in the school..



A Picasso inspiration, perhaps?



This one is my favorite..it's an American Gothic inspired picture...I believe that's Squidward(notice the clarinet) married to an alien..

Both of these pieces are in my sewing room/storage room/studio..They will definitely inspire me!:o)

It's A Dingo!!

Michael got to participate in an enrichment program at school..each child had to research an endangered animal. Michael's animal was the dingo, although I don't think he learned about dingos stealing babies. The kids also got to create paper mache` masks...what a fun way to learn!!:o)

First Day of School

Here's my big Third Grader...wow, it seems like only yesterday I was getting him on the bus for Kindergarten...time sure flies....

I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things and get more work done...I really slacked off this summer, but that's what summer vacation is all about..LOL :o)

A Night For Awards!!

Here's my son..I am so proud of him...he won FIRST PLACE in the experimental category for second grade at his school!! WooHOO!! Doing the Science Fair is about learning, but it is sure a thrill when you win!!:o)

I also won an award!!! Mo of Wings and Paws Primitives has given me an award...she says I give her inspiration and happiness..Thank you, Mo!! Right back at ya!!

Party Time!

my kid....can he ever give me a nice smile when I take his picture????LOL!! Today was my son's holiday party, and the kids had a blast! Michael's teacher loved her gift..I made her a star ornament....he proudly told her "my mom made it!" Got him trained well, haha! He has one more day of school tomorrow, and then he will be off for Christmas Vacation!!
